EigenLayer announces it will add a “Slashing” feature to reduce systemic risk

Odaily News Ethereum's staking protocol EigenLayer announced that it will launch the previously missing "Slashing" feature, which will punish operators who behave maliciously, thereby enhancing the security and accountability of "proof of stake". EigenLayer currently protects more than $7 billion in staked assets across 39 verification services. The redesigned Slashing system aims to reduce the systemic risks previously associated with EigenLayer's pooled equity model. (CoinDesk)
