91 central banks around the world have no digital asset investments, and more than half oppose Bitcoin strategic reserves
2025-04-15 03:56

Odaily News A recent survey on central bank cryptocurrency reserves showed a mixed picture, with 91 central banks currently managing more than $7 trillion in reserves having no digital asset investments, only one central bank supporting the idea of a strategic Bitcoin reserve, 50 central banks (59.5%) opposing it, and 33 (39.3%) uncertain. In addition, last year 15.9% of central bank respondents said they would consider investing in digital assets or digital currencies in the next five to ten years, but this proportion dropped significantly to just 2.1% in the 2025 survey.
