256 BTC redeemed after Babylon airdrop, high transaction fees attract attention
2025-04-04 05:38
Odaily News According to mempool founder mononaut, after Babylon released the token airdrop, 256 BTC have been redeemed (uncaged) from Babylon in the past 24 hours. The redemption transactions paid a total of 1.35 BTC in fees and consumed 1.318 MvB of block space.
Mononaut believes that the reason why redemption transactions are expensive may be that the script for unstacking is large and for some reason the protocol locked in a fixed fee rate chosen a few months ago, possibly a pre-signed transaction.
