RISC Zero launches OP Kailua validity mode to support the gradual transition of OP chain to ZK Rollup

Odaily News RISC Zero, a zero-knowledge proof software developer, announced the launch of OP Kailua Validity Mode, which allows OP Rollup to be upgraded to ZK Rollup without large-scale technical changes, achieving higher security and faster settlement time. This mode eliminates fraud disputes, ensures that transactions are finally confirmed within 1 hour, and has stronger security than traditional fraud proofs, and has been adapted to the second phase of decentralized deployment.
In addition, Validity Mode is cost-effective and suitable for high-throughput OP chains. At the same time, Kailua also provides Hybrid Mode, which allows OP Rollup to introduce ZK fraud proofs first, improving security with lower margin requirements and faster dispute resolution capabilities. Currently, multiple Rollup projects such as BOB and Eclipse have begun to integrate OP Kailua and gradually transition to ZK.
