Peter Thiel-backed Plasma launches "HotStuff-inspired consensus" to support high-frequency transfers of global stablecoins
2025-03-26 06:31

Odaily News Plasma, a cryptocurrency startup backed by Peter Thiel, announced the launch of "HotStuff Inspired Consensus", which aims to support high-frequency transfers of global stablecoins. The Plasma blockchain is built specifically for the stablecoin Tether and is also a Bitcoin sidechain designed to be fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

It is reported that the HotStuff blockchain consensus mechanism simplifies the process of leadership nodes making decisions and validator nodes confirming, which can reduce delays and improve efficiency. (CoinDesk)
