Analysis: U.S. money supply growth accelerates, with M2 growth in January reaching the highest level in nearly 30 months

Odaily News The Kobeissi Letter published an article on the X platform stating that the growth of the US money supply is accelerating: in January, the M2 money supply increased by 3.9% year-on-year, the fastest growth in 30 months. At the same time, this is the 11th consecutive month of expansion in the money supply.
The U.S. dollar in circulation has reached $21.6 trillion, just $16 billion below the all-time high set in April 2022. At the same time, the global money supply has increased by about $2.0 trillion in the past 2 months, reaching its highest level since September 2024.
