Odaily News OSL Chief Business Officer (CCO) Zhang Yinghua said that security architecture and operational efficiency are not binary contradictory propositions, and exchanges need to build a comprehensive system covering "prevention-monitoring-disposal". He pointed out that the recent frequent Web3 security incidents not only exposed technical defects, but also highlighted the shortcomings of security and custody architecture in institutional design. At present, many unregulated trading platforms generally face the dilemma of balancing security architecture and operational efficiency, while licensed exchanges like OSL have strict legal regulations and guarantees for their digital asset custody business. Whether it is penetrating audits or insurance coverage, these compliance measures have exchanged costs for the most effective risk hedging tools.
Zhang Yinghua further emphasized that the real security of digital assets should not rely solely on post-event vulnerability patching, but should start from the institutional design level to prevent and eliminate the breeding ground for risks and form a full-process closed-loop compliance risk control system of "prevention-monitoring-disposal". He believes that from this perspective, the institutional advantages of licensed exchanges are gradually reshaping the logic and confidence of institutional investors in digital asset allocation.
