Odaily News CZ called on Musk on the X platform to ban automated bots that are used to send spam, amplify content, or coordinate attacks. He said that although users can use Grok, ChatGPT, or DeepSeek to generate tweets and post them manually, API posting should be disabled.
CZ further distinguished between social media bots and AI agents, arguing that the latter are more valuable in practical applications such as booking hotels or writing code. Currently, automated robots are still a major problem on the X platform, especially in the crypto field, frequently spreading fraudulent information, phishing links, and fake token advertisements. Although Musk has proposed solutions such as credit card binding to curb the large-scale registration of robots, the crypto community believes that the relevant measures have little effect.
