L1 provides higher sovereignty and decentralization, but requires running complete nodes and validators, which is labor-intensive and may form an isolated ecosystem.
L2 eliminates the complexity of maintaining infrastructure and can use existing tools such as DEX and derivatives markets, with almost no value loss to L1 (such as ETH). CZ believes that L1 and L2 have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the key lies in how to provide a better economic and application environment for AI projects.
