Gemini receives approval-in-principle for Malta Investment Firm License

Odaily News Cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini has received in-principle approval for an investment firm license from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). The license will allow Gemini to provide regulated futures and options trading services to advanced traders and institutions in the EU and EEA under the framework of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II). Currently, Gemini has conducted a number of businesses in Europe, including providing spot trading of more than 90 digital assets, the ActiveTrader platform with more than 80 trading pairs, and over-the-counter trading services for institutional traders.
