Viewpoint: On-chain RWA is expected to hit a record high in 2025, with TVL reaching US$50 billion
Odaily News RWAs are gaining traction as investors seek stable, yield-generating alternatives amid bitcoin’s recent price stagnation and global market uncertainty. Alexander Loktev, chief revenue officer at institutional staking and crypto infrastructure provider P2P.org, wrote that bitcoin’s lack of momentum could attract more people to invest in RWAs.
Loktev claimed that Bitcoin’s “sideways movement” could lead to on-chain RWAs hitting new all-time highs in 2025, adding: “Given the recent moves we’ve seen from major financial institutions, especially BlackRock and JPMorgan’s growing involvement in tokenization, I believe the TVL in this space can reach $50 billion.”
Loktev said traditional financial (TradFi) institutions are “starting to view tokenized assets as an important bridge to DeFi,” driven by institutions seeking digital asset investments with “predictable returns.”
