Vitalik: Pectra is expected to be launched in March, raising the blob target from 3 to 6

Odaily News Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted on X that L1 is expanding, and gave a big thumbs up to all the developers working on EIP-4444, statelessness, client efficiency upgrades, and other efforts to make higher L1 gas limits more decentralized friendly. Pectra is expected to be launched in March, increasing the blob target from 3 to 6, thereby doubling the capacity of L2. In his opinion, the blob target should be determined by coin holders voting so that it can be increased as technology advances without waiting for a hard fork.
