Odaily News xAI, the artificial intelligence company founded by Elon Musk, plans to launch a standalone app for its Grok chatbot as early as December. Currently, Grok is only available through Musk's X platform (formerly Twitter) and requires a subscription to use. This move will put Grok in direct competition with competitors with standalone apps such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini and Anthropic's Claude.
