Odaily News Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis said in a CNBC television interview on Thursday that the state holds about $800 million in "crypto-related" investments in its portfolio. If former President Trump is re-elected next month, he would not be surprised to see this number grow. Earlier this week, Patronis said in a letter that Florida should "put part of the state pension system funds into cryptocurrencies." Florida is not the first U.S. government agency to invest in crypto-related financial instruments. The Wisconsin Investment Commission said in a May filing that it owns a spot Bitcoin ETF worth $163 million. (TheBlock)
