AI startup Crusoe Energy to receive $500 million in equity funding, valued at $3 billion

Odaily News AI infrastructure company Crusoe Energy is about to receive approximately $500 million in equity financing, with investors including billionaire Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, and a post-investment valuation of $3 billion. This round of financing will be used to enhance Crusoe Energy's AI infrastructure. A few weeks ago, Crusoe Energy just announced a $3.4 billion joint venture agreement with Lancium Clean Campus to build a data center in Texas. Previously, Crusoe Energy completed $200 million in financing and purchased thousands of Nvidia H100 GPUs at the end of 2023. Founders Fund has been involved in the company's financing since the seed round in 2019. The fund has also previously invested in OpenAI, which is valued at over $157 billion.
