Visa and Coinbase Partner to Enable Real-Time Crypto Purchases with Debit Cards

Odaily News Visa Inc. and Coinbase Global Inc. have partnered to allow Visa customers with eligible debit cards to deposit funds into their Coinbase accounts, sometimes instantly. Coinbase already has millions of connections to customers’ debit cards, but the new development enables customers in the U.S. and the European Union to move funds in real time, according to a statement Tuesday. Visa, which supports the Coinbase debit card, said customers can also use eligible debit cards to buy cryptocurrencies on Coinbase and withdraw funds from the platform to a bank account using the card.
