Crypto think tank Coin Center executive director and senior policy advisor to leave at the end of the year

Odaily News Jerry Brito, executive director of crypto think tank Coin Center, will step down at the end of this year, and Robin Weisman, senior policy advisor at Coin Center, will also leave. Brito said both will remain on the organization's board of directors and will advise the team in the future. Brito said: "When I leave Coin Center, I am very proud of what we have achieved in the past decade. When we started in 2014, it was not clear whether the government would allow Bitcoin to flourish. Technically, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are unstoppable, yes, but the field may face a lot of harm in the short term, and many people are trying to do so." Research director Peter Van Valkenburgh will succeed Brito as executive director on January 1, 2025. Policy advisor Landon Zinda will serve as policy director.
