Odaily News Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark has restored about 200MW of power to its 365MW facility in Georgia, which was shut down by Hurricane Helen, and is expected to be fully restored by October 4. CleanSpark said it had assessed all other sites and found no significant damage to any site infrastructure, nor any significant losses related to mining servers. The company added that it was able to restore its computing power to more than 17.5 EH/s within 24 hours of recovery. The current computing power is about 22 EH/s, and when its sites are fully re-energized, it is expected to reach a computing power of about 28 EH/s. In recent months, CleanSpark has acquired several small mining sites in five states. Its goal is to reach 37 EH/s by the end of 2024 and 50 EH/s by 2025. The hurricane has killed 128 people and left more than 2 million people without power. CleanSpark expressed condolences to the affected communities. (The Block)
