US Company Uses Bitcoin to Pay for Coffee Purchases in El Salvador

Odaily News According to the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs, American coffee company Compass Coffee has completed international purchases of Salvadoran coffee using Bitcoin. Jorge Cruz, the Salvadoran counterparty in the transaction, explained that he received the payment in less than 10 minutes, thus avoiding the need for an intermediary in such transactions.
