Odaily News Tigran Gambaryan, a senior executive of Binance who was previously detained in Nigeria, pleaded with a Nigerian judge on Monday to allow him to undergo back surgery for a herniated disc. "I have been complaining about this problem but it has never been resolved," Gambaryan, 40, said as his money laundering trial continued in the Nigerian capital Abuja. "Due to the lack of proper treatment, my nerves have been permanently damaged, and that's why I am in this condition now. I can't walk anymore," Gambaryan added, limping into the courtroom after being denied the use of a wheelchair. Gambaryan has denied the prosecution's charges since being incarcerated in a prison near Abuja in April, but has been suffering from pneumonia and malaria. (DL News)
