Meta's metaverse division Reality Labs reported an operating loss of $4.49 billion in the second quarter

Odaily News Meta released its second quarter 2024 financial report on Wednesday. Its metaverse business Reality Labs had an operating loss of $4.49 billion, while the market expected a loss of $4.53 billion and $276 million in the same period last year. Meta Platforms' revenue in the second quarter of 2024 was $39.07 billion, while the market expected $38.3 billion and $31.999 billion in the same period last year. Meta said that for the Reality Labs department, it still expects a loss in 2024.
