ConsenSys founder: US regulators ‘neglected their duties’

Odaily News Consensys founder Joe Lubin said at an Ethereum community conference in Brussels on Wednesday that U.S. regulators have "neglected their duties" and that certain senators and bank lobbying groups have been able to "opportunistically" step in and direct the SEC's crypto policy. Lubin also said that he and other participants have been forced to deal with unclear legislation. "For many years, we have become accustomed to operating under a cloud of regulatory uncertainty," he said. Despite this, Lubin said he believes regulators are making "real progress," partly because of the upcoming U.S. election, where lawmakers are now looking for new ways to win votes and raise money for their campaigns.
