Odaily News X users may not be able to send or receive cryptocurrencies on the platform in the short term. Although cryptocurrency enthusiasts have long speculated that Elon Musk, as a major backer of the meme token Dogecoin, will integrate it into Xs all-purpose app plan, new regulatory documents show that Elon Musks planned payment service X Payments does not involve cryptocurrencies. X Payments has obtained money transmission licenses in 28 states and plans to apply for the remaining states, aiming to provide users with payment functions similar to Venmo or Zelle. Although Dogecoin supporters still hold out hope that cryptocurrencies will be integrated into the payment system in the future, the document and statements from Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino (X CEO) do not clarify the specific goals of X Payments.
