The zkSync node is a read-only copy of the master node and can be run by anyone. This version will greatly improve the developer experience, with features that can be set up in one line of Docker, kept in sync with the master node, and run on consumer-grade hardware. In addition, zkSync Developers said that a pruning feature is being developed to reduce the storage space requirements of zkSync Node Beta. In the long run, as part of the decentralization work, it will allow zkSync Node to act as a sorter and validator.
