Odaily News According to a threat report released by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky on May 9, the North Korean hacker group Kimsuky used a new malware called "Durian" to carry out a series of targeted attacks on at least two cryptocurrency companies. This was done by exploiting legitimate security software dedicated to South Korean crypto companies for "persistent" attacks. Kaspersky pointed out that Durian has comprehensive backdoor capabilities (including LazyLoad custom proxy tool AppleSeed), which can execute sent commands, download additional files, and exfiltrate files.
