Odaily news, the Bank for International Settlements announced on Wednesday that the global central bank group is advancing a tokenized commercial bank deposit project called Agorá, aiming to build a trusted solution that uses smart contracts and programmability to tokenize commercial bank deposits. Deposits are integrated with central bank funds, and the project currently brings together seven central banks from the UK, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Switzerland, New York and Europe. (CoinDesk)
