Maker will launch the first phase of Endgame in the summer and will release new tokens, Lockstake engine and all major features

Odaily News MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen announced the latest news on the Endgame project at the governance forum. Endgame is divided into four stages: Launch Season, Expansion, New Chain and the final stage. The first phase of Endgame (Launch Season) will launch in the summer of 2024, when all of Endgames major features will be released in rapid succession. The phase is planned as follows: 1. New brand reveal: The brand reveal phase will last for one month, during which early adopters can sign up to receive a launch bonus, which will increase their earnings when the new token becomes available. 2. New token launch: One month after the new brand presentation, two new tokens in its ecology will be available: NewStable and NewGovToken (the actual names will be shared in the brand presentation). Dai and MKR tokens will be retained, but users can choose to upgrade to NewStable and NewGovToken if they wish to access all new features of the ecosystem. 3. After the new token is launched, the Lockstake Engine (LSE) will be launched. The LSE encourages long-term participation in governance, enabling MKR and NewGovToken holders to lock their tokens for long-term commitments, giving them more risk/reward for the success of the protocol and greater incentive to participate in governance. Both NewGovToken and MKR can be used interchangeably on the LSE, and 1 MKR is equivalent to 24,000 NewGovToken. 4. New Bridge launch: After the launch of LSE, the first version of NewBridge will be launched to connect NewStable, NewGovTokens and other Maker ecosystem tokens from the Ethereum mainnet to the main L2 (to be determined). 5. Maker’s first SubDAO, Spark. Spark is focused on delivering innovative lending and DeFi products that address proven market needs at scale through the economic power of MakerDAO. Sparks main product is the lending product SparkLend, and users of SparkLend have been able to participate in the Spark airdrop today, which will grant them SPK tokens when Spark is fully launched. Regarding Spark token economics, in the first 2 years, the distribution rate of SPK is 1 billion per year, which will be halved every 2 years until a total of 4 billion SPK tokens will be distributed after 10 years.
