Coinbase receives cryptocurrency license in France

Odaily News Cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase has completed registration with France’s market regulator, a company spokesperson confirmed the news on Thursday. France’s Financial Market Authority (AMF) has granted Coinbase virtual asset service provider (VASP) approval, which will give the exchange the green light to operate digital currency services in France. VASP registration will allow Coinbase to provide custody of digital assets, purchase or sell digital assets with legal currency, transactions between digital assets, and operate a digital asset trading platform.
