FIFA will turn to the Polygon network to issue NFTs, offering opportunities to win tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals

Odaily News FIFA has announced a partnership with technology company Modex to launch digital collectibles for FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023 later this week. The first 100 collectibles will go on sale on December 15 on FIFA Collect+, including the rarest collectibles, giving owners the chance to win tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Finals. 900 additional digital collectibles will be released on the Polygon network, available on the OpenSea platform, and are scheduled to launch on December 19 as the FIFA Club World Cup approaches. It is reported that FIFA’s previous NFT was mint on the Algorand chain, and the second phase of the new series will be transferred to the Polygon chain. FIFA said it will launch more digital collectibles through the Polygon network in the future. (The Block)
