Upbit Singapore receives in-principle approval for MPI license from Monetary Authority of Singapore

Odaily News Upbit Singapore announced that it has received in-principle approval for a Singapore Major Payments Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing it to continue to provide digital payment token services to institutional investors while waiting for full license. It is reported that in October alone, the Singapore entities of Coinbase, Ripple and Sygnum Bank all obtained license approval from MAS, bringing the number of digital payment token service companies that have obtained such licenses to 15.
