Domain name startup D3 Global completes US$5 million in seed round financing, led by Shima Capital

Odaily domain name startup D3 Global has completed a US$5 million seed round of financing, led by Shima Capital, with participation from Arthur Hayess Maelstrom, Lightshift, Dispersion Capital, VentureSouq, Infinite Capital and Paul Stahura, founder of Identity Digital. The company says it has patent-pending technology that can bring more interoperability to Web2 and Web3 versions of the Internet while creating more utility and security. D3 also stated that it plans to “apply for and acquire new top-level domains during ICANN’s upcoming application window to provide secure identities natively supported by all browsers and devices.” Additionally, D3 has launched an on-chain marketplace for domain names, where Includes over 1,000 tokenized top-level domains.
