Fidelity formally submits application for Bitcoin spot ETF

Odaily News: Asset management giant Fidelity Investments has officially filed an application for a Bitcoin spot ETF.
Previously reported, after BlackRock filed an application for a Bitcoin ETF, there were rumors that Fidelity would submit an application for a spot Bitcoin ETF. As early as 2021, Fidelity had submitted an application for a Bitcoin spot ETF called Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust, but it was rejected by the U.S. SEC in early 2022.
It is reported that after BlackRock submitted its application for a spot Bitcoin ETF on June 15, other asset management companies have also subsequently submitted similar applications, including Invesco, WisdomTree, and Bitwise. (cnbc)
