Event Introduction

As digital assets gradually move from the crypto market into broader financial and commercial scenarios, onchain finance is entering a stage that goes beyond conceptual exploration to practical application. The growing use of stablecoins in payments, settlement, and cross-border capital flows is also forcing financial institutions and enterprises to confront more concrete questions: how to integrate onchain assets and capital flows into existing business systems, how to establish operational mechanisms suited to the onchain environment, and how to manage new security risks in an open, continuously running network.

Against this backdrop, enterprise digital asset payment & custody infrastructure provider Cregis will join forces with global payment solutions provider FOMO Pay, Stable, which focuses on stablecoin payment infrastructure, and Width, a one-stop compliance and risk decision intelligence platform, to host the Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 in Singapore during TOKEN2049 Week on October 6, 2026. Sponsored by FUTURECLOUD, AWS, and Avenia, the summit will bring together industry participants from financial services, payments, stablecoins, digital asset infrastructure, and security to discuss institutional applications of stablecoins and onchain security.

From Stablecoin Applications to Financial Infrastructure

The expansion of stablecoin use is changing the way funds flow between different financial networks. From cross-border payments to corporate treasury management, stablecoins are gradually taking on some of the practical functions of the traditional financial system. For banks, payment institutions, and enterprises, the question is no longer simply whether to use stablecoins, but how to truly integrate them into existing business processes and financial infrastructure.

The summit's first roundtable, "What Do Stablecoins Mean for Banks, Enterprises, and the Broader Economy?", will start from this shift and discuss the practical applications of stablecoins across banks, enterprises, and the broader economy, as well as the implications of their further integration into the financial system.

FOMO Pay co-founder Zack Yang, MetaComp co-president and chief operating officer Eddie Hui, Tether regional expansion lead Andres Kim, and Avenia founder and chief operating officer Leandro Noel will join the discussion, sharing their experience in applying stablecoins in real business from the perspectives of payments, financial services, stablecoin issuance, and related infrastructure. Chiara Munaretto, co-founder of Stablecoin Insider, will moderate the roundtable.

The expansion of stablecoin use cases also means that the infrastructure behind them must support more complex capital flows. Institutions need to handle not only the issuance and transfer of assets, but also coordination of funds among different participants, permission management, transaction execution, and day-to-day operational controls.

As Onchain Business Expands, Security Issues Move from the Technical Layer to the Operational Layer

As digital assets enter larger-scale institutional business, security issues are also extending from isolated technical risks to the entire operational system.

In the past, digital asset security focused more on smart contracts, wallets, and private key protection. But as institutions begin to rely on more third-party infrastructure and incorporate onchain operations into daily business processes, risks can also emerge in signing systems, access permissions, vendor management, and even human operations. At the same time, the development of automation tools and AI is changing the way attackers discover and exploit vulnerabilities, as well as the methods enterprises use for risk defense.

Around this shift, the summit will feature a themed discussion titled "The New Security Playbook: How Is Digital Asset Offense and Defense Evolving?" Michael Chen, non-executive director of 1exchange, Jason Jiang, chief business officer of CertiK, Dmytro Matviiv, chief executive officer of HackenProof, and Alexandra Wang, head of strategic partnerships at ZAN, will draw on their practical experience to discuss changes in digital asset attack methods and how institutions should strengthen risk prevention, continuous monitoring, and incident response.

For institutions advancing their digital asset businesses, security is therefore no longer just a problem for technical teams to solve, but a long-term capability that runs through infrastructure, permission systems, and daily operational processes.

From Industry Discussion to Practical Implementation

In addition to the two core roundtables, Cregis chief operating officer Jason Ma, Width chief executive officer and co-founder Chye Kit Chionh, Stable chief executive officer Brian Mehler, and Injective chief executive officer and co-founder Eric Chen will deliver keynote speeches, sharing their practical observations in onchain finance and digital assets.

As one of the summit's co-hosts, Cregis has long focused on the infrastructure and operational issues enterprises face after entering onchain finance. From wallet and capital flow management to asset governance and security controls, as digital assets gradually enter the core business of enterprises and financial institutions, the role of infrastructure is also changing — from helping enterprises connect to onchain networks to further supporting the continuous and secure operation of digital asset businesses.

The Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 will facilitate exchanges around these ongoing changes. Rather than simply discussing the long-term potential of onchain finance, the summit focuses more on the practical issues enterprises have already begun to face: how stablecoins can serve real business, how institutions can manage onchain operational risks, and how financial infrastructure needs to evolve alongside business development.

At TOKEN2049 Week, a time when the global digital asset industry is highly concentrated, practitioners from financial institutions, payment platforms, stablecoin issuers, infrastructure, and security will gather in Singapore to share experiences from different markets and business scenarios, and further discuss the changes taking place in the financial system, enterprise operations, and infrastructure as onchain finance moves from early exploration toward practical application.
