The issuance of stablecoins on the Ethereum network has increased significantly recently. The seven-day moving average of the total number of confirmed transactions on the ethereum blockchain rose to 845,400 as of April 30, the highest level since July 1, 2019, according to CoinMetrics. The market cap of stablecoins on the Ethereum network is just over $7 billion, while ETH’s market cap is around $24 billion. There are concerns that non-native tokens will exceed the value of ETH. Nic Carter, founder of CoinMetrics, disagrees, saying that if non-native tokens outperform native tokens by 5 times, it may cause concern. Additionally, he said that the most compelling arguments for ETH’s long-term value are that ETH is a necessary fee asset, and that Ethereum’s ability to hold ETH’s value is similar to the U.S.’s ability to hold the U.S. dollar. The task is to create an environment where holding and using ETH is generally a good idea. (AMBCrypto)
