The so-called "Ethereum 2.0 test network" refers to the launch of the Ethereum 2.0 to test the security of the technical standard (spec), the reliability of each client, and the interoperability between clients before the official launch of Ethereum 2.0. The test network that can be publicly participated in; at the current stage, it mainly refers to the "Eth2.0 Phase0 test network", which is the test network opened for the launch of Phase0.test networkIn different development stages, client teams often launch multiple testnets for different testing objectives; these testnets may be shut down for various reasons, therefore, the tokens used on the testnets have no value.

2. Which Eth2.0 testnets can participate?Multiple client teams supported by the Ethereum Foundation (including Prysm client, Lighthouse client, and Nimbus client) have launched for different testing objectives
test network. However, these networks were largely shut down because they met their testing goals.
Tapoz Testnet
It is a test network initiated by Prysm Labs (Prysm client team), and only the Prysm client can be used to participate. The test network uses the same parameter configuration as the upcoming main network (parameters such as margin requirements, slashing coefficients, and time slots are all the same). Since its launch on April 18, the testnet has activated 28,759 validators.
Schlesi Testnet
It is the first multi-client testnet and can now be participated using the Lighthouse client, Prysm client and Teku client. The testnet launched on April 27 and has now activated 243 validators.
If Tapoz is a big test to test the functionality and security of Prysm clients, then Schlesi is a test to test whether each client can cooperate with each other. If Schlesi can run stably, the launch of Eth2.0 Phase 0 will not be far away.

The process of participating in the test network is simply the process of running the client software and adding certain configurations to make your computer join a peer-to-peer network.
However, to truly understand this process, some background knowledge and concepts are necessary:
As mentioned above, the nature of different testnets is different, and the client software that can be used to participate is also different: Tapoz testnet only supports the use of Prysm client to participate; Schlesi testnet supports the use of Lighthouse client, Prysm client and Teku client client. Therefore, after selecting the client you want to participate in, you must first download the client software and complete the installation (the download address and installation tips will be attached later);
To sum up, participating in the Eth2.0 test network is generally divided into two parts, one part is to run the software locally, and the other part is to interact with the existing test network (including obtaining test coins and sending them to the margin contract).

https://faucet.goerli.mudit.blog/Here comes the point. We can obtain test coins in several ways:
access
This website and connect your own Metamask wallet can receive 32 testnet ETH at one time. This website is a guiding website provided by Prysm Labs to facilitate everyone to participate in the Tapoz testnet, and it is also the method by far which can receive the most Goerli ETH at one time. Please cherish it and use it : )
https://docs.prylabs.network/This website is a faucet provided by the Goerli testnet operator. Enter the address and perform a man-machine authentication to receive 0.05 Goerli ETH. Yes, you read that right, it is 0.05, if you want to use this method to get 32 Goerli ETH, you need to do 160 man-machine authentication :)
This site is provided by the community. Different amounts of test coins can be obtained by time period. A total of 37.5 Goerli ETH can be obtained in 9 days (but the author has not tested it personally, it seems that social media forwarding is required to obtain it)https://github.com/

It is not enough to just send Goerli ETH to the deposit contract!
It is a detailed tutorial for using the Prysm client to participate in the Tapoz testnet. Pay attention to the process of generating the public and private keys of the verifier and sending the transaction to the margin contract (as for the installation, please refer to https://kb.beaconcha.in/tutorial-eth2-multiclient )
