(1) V God: After switching to PoS, the theoretical maximum circulation of ETH 2.0 is about 2 million per year

In the latest episode of the POV Crypto podcast, Vitalik highlighted the impact of the shift to PoS on the Ethereum network and ecosystem, and why such a shift is a perfect fit for Ethereum and its issuance model. He noted: “One of the reasons for doing PoS is that we want to reduce issuance significantly. I think we have calculated that the theoretical maximum issuance of ETH 2.0 is about 2 million per year if everyone participates.”

But V God also pointed out that in the next 10 years, even if there is an Ethereum network, the income of stakeholders such as miners is unlikely to come from newly issued assets, but from transaction fees. (AMBCrypto)

(2) Research: More than 150 Ethereum projects have received a total of nearly 25 million US dollars in funding

So far, more than 150 Ethereum projects have received nearly $25 million in funding, with the Ethereum Foundation being the largest donor. According to a study by the foundation's Steven Zheng, the foundation gave away more than $21 million. The Foundation is followed by the Ethereum Community Foundation, Aragon Foundation, ConsenSys and Protocol Labs. So far, the Ethereum Foundation has awarded 94 grants. In addition, projects receiving the highest amount of funding include Parity Technologies, Starkware, Prysmatic Labs, etc. The category that received the most funding was Ethereum scaling initiatives, including ETH 2.0 and more. (3) Ethereum 2.0 multi-client test network Schlesi goes onlineSchlesiOn April 28th, the multi-client testnet of Ethereum 2.0

Go online and run. On April 30, Schlesi dug up the first test block.

Schles is the first multi-client testnet for the Ethereum community after the recent Eth2.0 client team Prysmatic Labs released the first single-client testnet Topaz with Eth2.0 phase 0 mainnet configuration. According to Schlesi's GitHub document, the current Schlesi multi-client testnet already supports two Eth2.0 clients, Lighthouse and Prysm, and other Eth2.0 clients (Cortex, Lodestar, Nimbus, Teku, Trinity) will be gradually added .

(4) The OKEx mining pool is the first to connect to the Ethereum 2.0 Topaz test network, and the nodes are running stably

On April 28, the OKEx mining pool announced that it was the first to connect to the Ethereum 2.0 Topaz test network. It is the first large-scale mining pool to publicly access the Ethereum 2.0 test network. The current node operation is stable.

(5) Founder of ConsenSys: The time frame of ETH 2.0 will not be negatively affected by the market and will be launched as planned

Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of ConsenSys, said in the latest Q&A that the launch time frame of ETH 2.0 was not affected by the outbreak of the new crown virus and the subsequent market depression. As previously planned, the initial phase of network development (phase 0 or the beacon chain) will be launched in 2020, while the first phase will split the blockchain into 64 interconnected shards in 2021. ETH 1.0 will coexist with ETH 2.0 as its first shard. In the second phase, which is 2021-2022, it will be completely replaced by ETH 2. All Ethereum (ETH) funds are safe during the transition period, requiring no action from holders. In addition, the ConsenSys team also highlighted that there is currently no possibility of buying ETH 2 Ethereum. (U. Today)

The lending protocol Compound plans to launch tBTC. Currently, Compound has completed the integration with tBTC on the Ethereum test network Ropsten. Once the liquidity and security of the tBTC main network are accurately assessed, users are expected to mortgage tBTC on Compound to borrow USD. (The Block)

1. DuckDuckGo Executive: Encrypted Whales Are Accumulating a Large Number of Ethereum

DuckDuckGo executive Adam Cochran said he made some findings after conducting a manual audit of the top 10,000 Ethereum addresses. Existing whales have increased their Ethereum positions by more than $550 million, or 4%, over the past six months, while new capital inflows into Bitcoin totaled roughly $600 million in the last year.

Cochran also said that it is not just the existing giant whales that are accumulating. Among the top 10,000 Ethereum addresses, a considerable number of new wallets are the first transactions with exchanges with legal currency entrances. These exchanges (mainly Gemini, Kraken, and Coinbase) serve large clients. These new addresses typically buy between $100,000 and $250,000 worth of ETH, and they account for about 6% of the top 10,000 addresses (i.e. $100 million in new ETH purchased in the last 6 months). "

Plus, data shows that these large investors appear to have no intention of selling their ETH holdings. Cochran said: "Currently, there are only 19.5 million ETHs sold on exchanges, and 33.6 million ETHs are deposited into exchanges, which only accounts for 58% of deposits, so giant whales are accumulating, not selling." (The Daily Hodl )

2. Grayscale Capital purchased about 760,000 ETH this year, equivalent to 50% of the mined ETH in 2020

Grayscale Investments, a digital asset management fund, has purchased about 756,200 ETHs in 2020, which is equivalent to nearly half of the number of ETHs that have been mined this year. However, this data does not mean that the Ethereum purchased by Grayscale Capital is the Ethereum that has been mined this year, and the data is only a theoretical value. (cryptopotato)

3. Data: Since March 12, the number of Ethereum smart contracts has increased by more than 1 million

The latest report released by Coin Metrics shows that since the crypto market plunged on March 12, smart contracts deployed on the Ethereum platform have grown exponentially, and more than 1 million Ethereum smart contracts have been born. From 13.36 million on March 12 to 14.41 million on April 26, this means that the number of Ethereum smart contracts surged by 7.85% in just over a month. Previously, between January 1 and March 12, the number of Ethereum smart contracts increased by about 470,000.

4.According to previous reports, data from Dune Analytics, an Ethereum data analysis website, showed that about 2 million smart contracts were deployed on Ethereum in March, and the total cost of these contracts was worth about $11,000. (AMBCrypto)
