Understand the important data parameters of the Maker system in one article.

The Maker Protocol is a complex system with many flexible components. Not only can people directly enjoy the stability of Dai, but the complete transparency of the Maker protocol means that anyone can explore, mine and audit the data and health of the multi-collateral Dai system.

Dai statistics website (Daistats.com) sorted out important Dai data indicators, and displayed the most valuable data in the Maker protocol in an extremely intuitive manner.

This article provides an introduction and significance of various data indicators on the Dai Statistics website.

Datasheets

Total Dai: The total supply of multi-collateral Dai is the most intuitive indicator of the size of the Maker protocol.

Total Sai: The total supply of unupgraded single-collateral Sai.

Note:

Note:Single-collateral Sai is expected to close on April 24, 2020, CDP and Sai holders please upgrade as soon as possible.

Four sources of multi-collateral Dai issuance:

Dai from ETH: The total amount of Dai generated by staking ETH.

Dai from BAT: The total amount of Dai generated by mortgaging BAT.

Dai from Migration: The total amount of migration from Sai to Dai.

Dai from USDC: The total amount of Dai generated by mortgage USDC.

ETH Locked (in ETH): The total amount of ETH mortgaged in the multi-collateral Dai system.

ETH Ceiling (in Dai): The multi-collateral Dai system allows the maximum amount of Dai generated by mortgaging ETH, also known as the debt ceiling.

ETH Stability Fee: The multi-collateral Dai system mortgages the ETH to borrow Dai's stable rate (annualized), and it is floating. Stability fees are accrued by continuous compounding of the vault's Dai debt.

BAT Locked (in BAT): The total amount of BAT mortgaged in the multi-collateral Dai system.

BAT Ceiling (in Dai): The multi-collateral Dai system allows mortgage BAT to generate Dai's debt ceiling.

BAT Stability Fee: The stable fee rate (annualized) for borrowing Dai by mortgage BAT in the multi-collateral Dai system.

USDC Locked (in USDC): The total amount of USDC mortgaged in the multi-collateral Dai system.

USDC Ceiling (in Dai): The multi-collateral Dai system allows mortgage USDC to generate Dai's debt ceiling.

USDC Stability Fee: The stable fee rate (annualized) for borrowing Dai by collateralizing USDC in the multi-collateral Dai system.

Dai (ERC20) Supply: The total amount of Dai in free circulation, excluding Dai locked in Dai deposit rates and DeFi protocols.

Collateralization Ratio: Global collateralization ratio, the ratio of the total value of system collateral to the total Dai issued. The liquidation mortgage rate of the Maker protocol is 150%, and most users will have a much higher mortgage rate level for safety. At present, the global mortgage rate of the system is above 300%.

DAI Price, ETH Price, BAT Price, and MKR Price: reflect the current median prices of Dai, ETH, BAT, and MKR, respectively. Each price is derived from a distributed price feed from Maker's oracle security module. A one-hour price delay is built into the oracle security module, which helps protect the system from the risk of oracle attacks. Note: The feed price of USDC is currently fixed at $1.

Dai in DSR: DepositDai deposit rateAnd the resulting deposit interest Dai. DSR is equivalent to Dai's current savings account, which can be deposited and withdrawn at any time.

Pie in DSR: The principal part of the Dai deposit rate core contract (Pot).

Dai Savings Rate: Dai Savings Rate (DSR) is an annualized floating interest rate for depositing Dai and earning interest. The interest rate is determined by the decentralized governance of MKR holders.

Last Drip: The time of the latest Dai interest income, DSR calculates interest per second, real-time income.

System Surplus (Dai): System Surplus, which consists of stability fees charged by the treasury and liquidation penalties.

Surplus Buffer: surplus buffer. When the system surplus exceeds 500,000, a surplus auction will be held, each batch of 10,000 Dai will be auctioned, and the bidder will pay the MKR to purchase the surplus Dai, and the repurchased MKR will be destroyed, thereby reducing the total supply of MKR.

Dai Surplus (Flap) Auctions : The number of Dai Surplus (Flap) auctions that have occurred.

Debt Buffer: Debt buffer, currently set at 50,000. The debt buffer acts as a buffer before a debt auction is triggered. If the system debt is higher than the debt buffer and the system surplus is zero, a debt auction will be triggered. Debt auctions mint new MKR and auction them off in batches to raise Dai, which is used to wipe out bad debts. MKR auctions increase the total supply of MKR, diluting the proportion of current holders.

Debt Available to Heal (Dai): The system debt currently available for payment.

BAT (Flip) Auctions and ETH (Flip ) Auctions: Displays the number of BAT and ETH vault collateral auctions that have taken place, respectively.

Vaults Opened : Total number of vaults opened.

MKR Supply: The current total supply of MKR.

MKR in Burner: The total amount of MKR that is currently ready to be burned in the surplus auction.

Annual MKR Burn Rate: The annualized amount of MKR burned, calculated by dividing the total annual stability fee income of the system by the current price of MKR.

Total Chai: Chai is a tradable Dai derivative that includes DSR created by the community, allowing holders to freely transfer this token while earning Dai current interest, and can exchange it back for Dai and the proceeds at any time.

Dai brewing: The total amount of Dai packaged into Chai.

Dai in Uniswap: The Uniswap trading platform can exchange the amount of Dai.
