Polkadot, the blockchain project of Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood, has successfully sold 500,000 DOT tokens, the Web3 Foundation (W3F) said. While W3F did not disclose the exact amount raised, the sale is said to match the $1.2 billion valuation reported by The Wall Street Journal earlier this year. In the latest round, Polkadot allegedly sold 5% of the total token supply, which means Polkadot’s management team expects to raise $60 million.

Ripple has signed an agreement with regulatory technology startup Coinfirm for the use of XRP to comply with the latest FATF anti-money laundering rules. Coinfirm will provide information about cryptocurrency users, including: whether the cryptocurrency has been processed by a mixer; whether it involves transaction clustering (clustering), that is, sending small amounts of currency through many different addresses to mask large transactions; whether the funds come from due to known theft or hacking. Coinfirm CEO Pawel Kuskowski said the analysis did not include actual identities associated with cryptocurrency addresses. But it will include information on: whether the address is owned by an exchange that allows anonymous transactions; and whether the entity owning the address is registered in a high-risk country. In addition, each address zone will be divided into three risk levels of low, medium and high, and given a score from 0 to 99, of which 99 is the highest risk of money laundering.
