Gold may come under pressure again this year, mainly due to significant uncertainty over the Fed's next move
Odaily: Hamad Hussain, climate and commodities economist at Capital Economics, judged on October 16 that gold prices may gradually decline over the remainder of the year. He listed two reasons: the Fed continuing to raise rates, and concerns that the AI boom is ending ultimately proving to be only temporary. This means his view on gold prices involves both interest rates and the outlook for the AI boom.
Bart Melek, Global Head of Commodity Strategy at TD Securities, said gold remains within a range and is leaning toward the lower edge of its support zone, mainly because there is still significant uncertainty over the Fed's next move. (Jinshi)
