Group involved in using crypto assets to evade financial sanctions added to Japan's asset freeze list

Odaily News: The Japanese government decided at a cabinet meeting to impose additional sanctions on Russia, in principle prohibiting the provision of operation, maintenance, insurance, and financing services to 35 vessels in the "shadow fleet" involved in secretly transporting crude oil to evade Western sanctions. Japan also added 33 Russia-related military groups and 9 individuals to its asset freeze list, including groups involved in using crypto assets to evade financial sanctions.
