Magic Eden Security Incident Prompts Revoke.cash Warning: Ultimate Subscribers Need to Check Auto-Revoking Settings

Odaily News: Revoke.cash has issued a warning in the wake of last week's Magic Eden security incident. Revoke.cash advises users to go to the Auto-Revoking module on their account page and check whether a yellow warning icon appears on any network. If so, they need to first restore that address to a regular account in another wallet application, then upgrade it to a smart account through MetaMask. In addition, users should confirm that all networks in use have been enabled and ensure that each wallet in their subscription has been individually granted the relevant permissions.

Revoke.cash added that Ultimate subscribers need to confirm their wallet meets two conditions for the Auto-Revoking feature to properly protect assets: first, grant Auto-Revoking permission to that wallet in MetaMask; second, the wallet must have been upgraded to a MetaMask smart account on the corresponding network. Typically, the second step is completed automatically during the authorization process, but if the address was previously upgraded to a smart account through another wallet application, the upgrade may fail.
