The fact that Tencent Hunyuan has maintained its lead over such a long period is itself an impressive achievement. He noted that previously, frontier models in image and video generation seemed more closed-off than frontier text LLMs, and H3 represents a strong step back toward openness. He also mentioned that the relevant content was generated on his AMD laptop in about 30 minutes.
