Odaily Planet Daily News Tokyo-listed company Eole purchased 1,078.2547 HYPE on July 28 for $66,000, with an average purchase price of $57.15. The company stated that this is the first time a Japanese listed company has publicly disclosed a purchase of HYPE.
Eole plans to increase its total investment in HYPE to $611,100 through multiple purchases by the end of August, and hold it as a strategic asset under its “Neo Crypto Bank” plan, alongside Bitcoin. HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a blockchain network focused on on-chain derivatives and trading.
Eole stated that holding HYPE is not merely for capital gains or treasury management, but to strengthen its on-chain finance and Web3 operations. The company may generate income by lending digital assets and hedging price risk through traditional financial markets, while exploring ways to connect its holdings with its own services.
