Samsung Electronics will invest 800 billion won in semiconductor and DX startups
Odaily Planet Daily News Samsung Electronics disclosed on July 30 that it will invest a total of 800 billion won in semiconductors for startup investments and potential technology reserves for the finished product business DX division. The relevant investment is used to form technology and business cooperation through equity investment in startups in the semiconductor field at home and abroad.
Among them, Samsung Electronics will invest 505 billion won with Samsung Venture Investment to join its newly established new technology business investment portfolio SVIC No. 82, with Samsung Venture Capital contributing 5 billion won. The portfolio plans to join next month with a duration of 13 years, and contributions will be made in batches when investment projects occur. Samsung Electronics will also invest 303 billion won with Samsung Venture Investment to join its newly established new technology business investment portfolio SVIC No. 83, with Samsung Venture Capital contributing 3 billion won. This portfolio is used for future technology exploration and business competitiveness enhancement of the DX division, with a duration of 10 years, and contributions will be made in batches when investment projects occur.
