Prediction market revenue reached $156 million, Robinhood's Q2 transaction revenue increased 44% year-over-year

Odaily Planet Daily News Robinhood's Q2 prediction market revenue surpassed its cryptocurrency and stock trading revenue, driving total transaction revenue up 44% year-over-year to $776 million. Specifically, event contract revenue was $156 million, cryptocurrency trading revenue was $100 million (down 38% year-over-year), and stock trading revenue was $129 million. Robinhood's total net revenue in Q2 increased 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion, while net profit grew 48% year-over-year to $573 million. The notional trading volume of cryptocurrencies amounted to $40 billion, including $22 billion from Bitstamp. Robinhood entered the prediction market in October 2024, launched a prediction market hub in March this year, and unveiled its CFTC-licensed exchange, Rothera, in June.
