SlowMist: Fake AI Meeting Tool “Relay” Used in Recruitment Scams, Stealing Data from Web3 Professionals

Odaily Planet Daily News: According to SlowMist's monitoring, its MistEye system has identified a recruitment scam campaign targeting Web3 professionals. The attackers impersonate recruiters, tricking victims into installing a fake AI meeting tool named “Relay,” which is actual malware. Targeting both macOS and Windows users, this malware attempts to steal sensitive information such as browser credentials, wallet-related data, Keychain data, and Telegram sessions. SlowMist has analyzed samples and disclosed the attack chain details, reminding users to exercise caution when installing software during online interviews or recruitment processes and to avoid executing unverified applications.
