According to Odaily, U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated that the CLARITY Act may not be able to complete its final passage before the summer recess, but he hopes to at least initiate the full chamber deliberation process before the recess.
Previously, the industry regarded August 7 as an important window for the bill's passage this year. If it is postponed to the fall, the likelihood of completing the legislation by 2026 could decrease. White House crypto advisor Patrick Witt, however, indicated that the Senate could still advance related procedures in the first week of August, but the possibility of the CLARITY Act reaching a final vote in July is low.
