Covering over 39 million users globally, World plans to launch a new version of the World ID app

Odaily Planet Daily reports that World has announced the start of its Phase 3 in the third year of the project. This phase will focus on advancing World ID applications to implement proof of personhood in more scenarios, including real-name participation in Zoom meetings, preventing bots on Tinder matches, and combating ticket scalpers for concerts. Currently, the World ID network covers over 39 million users globally. World stated that the next stage will further expand proof of personhood to consumer platforms, enterprise customer identity verification, and human identity binding with AI agents. It also plans to launch a new version of the World ID app and announce new developments this fall.
