Odaily Planet Daily News: Mirae Asset has completed the acquisition of 97.15% of Korbit, South Korea's oldest cryptocurrency exchange, and has renamed it Digital X.
The company plans to build Digital X into a smart investment platform, integrating real-world assets, security tokens, stablecoins, traditional assets, and digital assets within the same ecosystem.
Mirae Asset stated that it will not directly compete with dominant exchanges such as Upbit and Bithumb, but will focus on investor education, research, strict compliance standards, and institutional-grade infrastructure.
