Odaily Planet Daily News: In October 2024, George Cottrell's account on Polymarket received two untraceable fund transfers totaling approximately $9 million, with $7 million coming from an OKX exchange wallet and $1.83 million from a ChangeNOW wallet. These funds were almost immediately used to bet on Trump winning the US presidential election, after which approximately $13 million in profits were withdrawn. Cottrell was previously convicted in 2017 for wire fraud involving money laundering of drug trafficking proceeds.
